Feleniece Miller

January 6, 1916 - March 21, 2007

Feleniece Miller was a great friend of my parents, especially of my mother. The 10/2/06 entry for my website talks about Feleniece and the loss of her friend Jack Forell. Feleniece and my parents enjoyed many days snowmobiling, mushrooming, casinoing and meeting for lunch. A few years ago, when I was visiting Michigan, she met us at Applebee's for lunch. I don't remember why I wanted to, particularly, but I insisted on purchasing Feleniece's lunch and succeeded. My mom was surprised at my success, because Feleniece is a very independent person and normally does not allow such things to happen. For example, last year Feleniece noticed something on her kitchen ceiling that she felt needed to be cleaned, and pronto. Despite numerous family and friends nearby she decided the best thing to do was climb atop her dishwasher to personally remove the offending dirt… no wonder she was named Homemaker of the Year in 1978. Indeed, Feleniece had not only a floor but a ceiling you could eat off of.

My family will miss Feleniece. They will miss her company and the joy she found in living life to its fullest.

My mom welcomes Feleniece to our wedding reception 10/17/04.

Celebrating and talking with Feleniece on a special day.
