Michigan Trip, June 2007

I flew to Michgan by myself Friday June 1st. Jay took me to the airport and picked me up, even though I was a day late and, as always, dollars short. My nicely timed Friday flight got cancelled and replaced by an early Saturday flight, yuck! Nonetheless it was a good flight and a happy reunion— it was great to be home with Jay.

Saturday we went to Lansing and stopped
in front of the house my mom grew up in.

Everyone waited in the car while I took pictures.

Mom enjoyed looking at her house.

As always, Jerry was patient.

The house at the corner of St. Joseph and
Hosmer was much as mom remembered.

We had a cake at Pizza Hut for Dad's birthday coming the 12th.

Sunday we had brunch with Don and Terrie, Linda and Jerry and...

Patti and Keith too!

Diane came out to the house
and us girls were like the old days, almost.

We laughed and chatted.

We also went out to Aunt Joan's house
with Linda, and Aunt Lois met us there.

Linda had some misgivings
about some of the conversation,

but Joan showed her how to be calm.

Then we laughed and chatted.

And Patti came at the end, what a treat!
